(1) The CJ/T 186-2003 standard is only applicable to floor drains used in general industrial and civil buildings, and is not suitable for special places such as anti wave floor drains used in civil defense engineering or explosion-proof floor drains used in petrochemical enterprises. For floor drains in special places, in addition to referring to this standard, they should also comply with the technical requirements of relevant industries.

(2) Water seal is one of the important features of a water sealed floor drain. When selecting, it should be understood whether the water seal depth of the product reaches 50mm. Side wall floor drains, floor drains with mesh frames, and sealed floor drains generally do not have water seals; Most anti overflow floor drains and multi-channel floor drains are equipped with water seals. When selecting, it is necessary to carefully understand the manufacturer's information.

For floor drains without water seals, a water trap with a water seal depth of not less than 50mm should be installed in the drain discharge pipe. This component can be configured by the floor drain manufacturer or set by the construction unit installing the floor drain.

(3) The height of the floor drain grate can be adjusted, with a minimum adjustment of 35mm, to ensure that the elevation of the floor drain surface is level with the ground after the completion of the floor decoration.
